Wound Care Program

Focus:
Healing of wounds with an integrated team approach to care

Patient profile:
Ulcers meeting the following criteria:

  1. Full thickness wounds that fail to heal in appropriate time frame or are preventing patient to leave the hospital.
  2. All full thickness ulcers that involve tendon, ligament, bone and/or joint; especially those with abscesses, osteomyelitis, necrotic tissue, or gangrene of the wound or surrounding tissue.
  3. Neuropathic ulcers in diabetic patients.
  4. Vascular ulcers with significant ischemia.
  5. Venous ulcers, especially those with arterial component.
  6. Ulcers in compromised patients.
  7. Pressure ulcers
